Wow, eBay glove seller "junkonsale" sold these Classic Leatherwear black leather opera gloves for an amazing $302.99. This is quite possibly the most I've ever seen someone pay for a vintage, used pair of leather opera gloves. The auction started at $74.99.
I don't know whether it was the fact that the seller included the original ad or emphasized how rare these are, but I am just amazed at how much these sold for. While the original ad is impressive, the gloves look wrinkly and quite frankly, used!

We purchased these from someone who paid a lot of money for them at a fashion/charity auction in New York but these have been sitting around for years and will probably never be used, so they might as well find a new home!
