Great eBay boot modeling - Part 1, vintage Wild Pair

One seller is selling several pairs of great boots right now and her photos have to be some of the best boot modeling I've seen in a long time.

These vintage black leather Wild Pair boots look great paired with the black leather skirt. UPDATE: Hard to believe and disappointing that these boots sold for only $26.00, especially with the great modeling.

And these vintage white leather Wild Pair boots look great with skinny jeans tucked into them. UPDATE: Hard to believe that these sold for $113.50, especially since I consider white boots to be much less versatile than basic, classic black.

Carolina Amato gloves still sell well in the middle of summer

Even in the middle of summer, eBay glove seller "junkonsale" sold these Carolina Amato long black lambskin leather opera gloves for an impressive $129.99.  The gloves were originally $198, "new with tags" and a size 7.5.

Carolina Amato gloves are some of the highest-quality long leather gloves I've come across.

Classic 1980s vintage black leather pencil skirt

I remember seeing this vintage 1980s "Together" brand long black leather skirt in the old Spiegel catalogs. I especially like the high-waisted, belted style and it would look stunning paired with a crisp white blouse and either riding or spiky black leather boots. As a previous owner of "Together" brand leather pants of this vintage, I recall that the leather is more of a cowhide than a buttery soft lambskin.

At a size 10, it was appealing, but the starting price of $49.99 and $12.95 shipping made it too pricey to get any bids. It would be nice to see it relisted at about half that price.

UPDATE: On its second listing, this skirt sold for $50.99.

Italian thigh boots "worn to an embassy"

These amazing "1969" brand black leather thigh boots in a size 42 (US 11) sold for a very deserving $332.75.  The seller stated that "These boots are made in Italy of the finest black leather you can find, and cost over $700 new" and also measure an impressive 30" high.  The metal detail above the heel is an interesting touch.  Also, between the towering 5" stiletto heels and metal taps under the front toes, I bet these made an attention-getting sound walking on hard pavement or bare floors.

The seller also stated that "These boots were worn one time to an embassy by my wife for about an hour." Whoa!  Who wears these type of boots to an embassy?!  My guess is that any woman wearing these would definitely make an impression anywhere, but especially to a place like an embassy where the dress code is usually a little more conservative.

Classic Leatherwear opera gloves fetch an amazing price!

Wow, eBay glove seller "junkonsale" sold these Classic Leatherwear black leather opera gloves for an amazing $302.99. This is quite possibly the most I've ever seen someone pay for a vintage, used pair of leather opera gloves. The auction started at $74.99.


I don't know whether it was the fact that the seller included the original ad or emphasized how rare these are, but I am just amazed at how much these sold for. While the original ad is impressive, the gloves look wrinkly and quite frankly, used!

Classic Wild Pair boots sell for $100

One of my favorite eBay sellers "ms. firecracker" sold these vintage 1980s classic Wild Pair black leather thigh boots for a nice round $100.00. These size 7 boots appear to be in great condition. Better yet, this seller often posts a video of the item. Too bad she didn't strut around in them like she often does!
