Classic vintage 1980s 9 West OTK boots make a rare appearance

These vintage late 1980s OTK boots by 9 West sold for $59.99.  These boots were a size 9 and made in Brazil.  The seller stated this style was called "Starlight."

These boots measure 25" high with a very walkable 3" heel.  These have some nice slouch to them and I've also seen them worn cuffed.  These appear to be in exceptional condition, especially for boots that are around 30 years old.  The seller even posted a photo of their original box.  Also, kudos to the seller for nice modeling to show how they look with both solid and patterned tights.

I originally saw these boots listed in a Macy's California ad around 1985, I think.  It seems like the original price was $200.

Someone got a very well-made pair of boots in a timeless style that will go great with everything from leggings to skinny jeans to skirts.  Considering the rare style, condition and large size, I'm a little disappointed that these didn't sell for more.

Last-minute bidding drives up the price on Tamara Mellon's classic "Icon" boots

These Tamara Mellon "Icon" boots sold for an impressive $405.  What's especially impressive is that I was tracking this auction and it went into the final minute of bidding with only a $71 bid.  I thought someone was going to get a real deal on these, but then the bids shot up within the last minute.

These size 39 boots were made in Italy and feature a sexy 105mm heel and nicely pointed toes.  These are the classic black leather knee-high boot style.  They're also trendy in that they can be worn slouchy.  They've just recently been discontinued by the designer, which is interesting considering how popular these are with the fashion bloggers.  Tamara Mellon herself also wore them for several photo shoots.

Saint Laurent "Kate" designer black leather dress boots

These stunning "Saint Laurent" Kate black leather designer boots sold for an impressive $700.

These size 38 boots were listed as "new without box" even though the seller pictured them with what appears to be their original Saint Laurent box.

These boots were made in Italy and featured pull-on styling. I especially like the style of the heels and toes on these boots.  They can also be worn in this season's "slouchy" style.

These are quite possibly the quintessential "black leather dress boot" style that every woman should have in their closet!

Michael Kors "Fulton" black leather hobo bag

Someone got a real deal on this Michael Kors "Fulton" black leather hobo style bag for $36.  This is 11% of the original $328 retail!

Although the seller stated this had some cracking on the edges of the strap and light scuffs on the logo, I've rarely seen this bag sell for less than $100.

Meanwhile, this identical bag, also pre-owned, but in much better condition, sold for $90.  I especially like how the seller provided measurements as part of her photos.

A real steal on Balenciaga "All Time" boots!

These Balenciaga "All Time" thigh-high boots are near the top of my boot wish list, although I never thought I'd be able to afford them at their $1,695 retail.  I became kind of obsessed with them after I saw Celine Dion rocking a pair way back in September 2016 leaving the Ritz-Carlton in Los Angeles.

Pointy toes, pencil-thin stiletto heels, sleek lines, sumptuous black leather with just the right amount of sheen...perfect!

Needless to say, I was very surprised when a pair showed up on eBay this week and only sold for $530.  I'd been upset if someone got these boots in my size at this price, but these were actually a small size 36.

The seller listed these as "new with defects" and went on to say that the uppers had some minor scuffs from storage and the shaft of the right boot had a faint white stain.  If the defects appear in the photos, I sure can't pick them out.

The 4.25" heels don't concern me as much as the 29.5" shaft on somewhat short legs!  They're actually meant to be worn in this season's slouchy style.  These boots are stunning, that's for sure.

The writing on the bottom makes me wonder if these were purchased for $340 at a sample sale or off-price retailer?!
