eBay is fickle - The Continuing Saga

These Victoria's Secret black leather OTK boots in the same style and same size (9) sold for vastly different prices just 2 days apart. The pair in the upper photo sold for $51.00 while the pair in the bottom photo sold for $122.50. Makes my size 8 pair of these boots seem like a real deal at $38.95!

Is it the pictures (the $51.00 pair was modeled while the $122.50 had some excellent pictures and several close-ups)? Is it the fact that the seller of the $51.00 boots was located in Canada (I'm less likely to buy from a seller in Canada because of shipping and customs)? Is it timing ($51.00 ended on Monday while $122.50 ended on Saturday)? Who knows? Regardless, eBay can definitely be fickle when it comes how much the same exact item will sell for.

The most expensive gloves on eBay?!

I just stumbled across quite possibly the most expensive pair of leather gloves I've ever seen listed on eBay. These Hermes chocolate brown 26" long leather gloves are listed with a Buy It Now price of $1,799! That's the price of a very nice Mac laptop, a vacation, and even some decent large-screen LCD televisions. $1,799 for a pair of gloves? Get real!

Of course, to go with these gloves, the same seller is offering some very nice size 7 Hermes black leather thigh boots in a very sexy military style. Gorgeous boots, but not for $2,599.

This same seller is also offering a couple of Hermes Birkin bags with a Buy It Now price of $55,000. I won't even go into how many millions of better ways there are to spend $55,000!

As this seller currently has a little more than 1,000 items listed, I'd really be curious to see this seller's eBay listing fees.

North Beach Leather model selling on eBay

This seller says she's a former model for North Beach Leather (and I believe it!). She recently sold this ornate studded black leather NBL jacket for an impressive $612.77. I can't quite decide which is more impressive - the unusual jacket or the leather pants which fit her live a glove!

Needless to say, I look forward to more of this seller's auctions in the future!

Euro Club classic black leather thigh boots

Another entry from the "they don't make boots like this anymore" column...

These sexy size 8 black leather thigh boots by Euro Club sold for $125.00. Nothing really wow here, just some basic black leather thigh boots. Euro Club definitely comes the closest to Wild Pair in style.

Just missed out on a lovely leather trench

I just missed out on a sweet deal on this lovely leather trench coat by Bettina. By the time my computer started up this morning, I received an alert that the auction was ending in less than a minute, and when I opened up the page, their were 28 seconds left in the auction! I entered a bid of $22.07, but it didn't take before the auction ended and this coat sold for $20.50 plus $12.99 s/h. Besides, I already have a surplus of leather trench coats to sell this fall/winter on eBay!

Although I can't quite tell if it's lambskin or not, I really like the clean styling - double-breasted, notched collar, and nicely padded shoulders. Since I didn't win it, I'd like to think that it was maybe too small for me. Although the seller listed it as a size "small," the measurements looked more promising: bust 40", waist 40" and length 48" (not too long and the perfect length for showing off tall boots?).

However, at least it was bought by an eBay trader I really admire, Leatherbill. As Leatherbill has had some very attractive women modeling leather apparel in the past, hopefully we'll get to see this leather trench modeled in the future.

Nice Zodiac OTK boot modeling

Some very nice modeling of these size 8 Zodiac over-the-knee black leather boots, which sold for an impressive $187.50. A very "sexy schoolgirl" look paired with the short pleated skirt and red tights. And the red stool is a great prop, too!

Exceptional thigh boot modeling

Some very nice modeling of these 12 black leather thigh boots, which look great with the black leather mini-skirt (although I could do without the date stamp). These boots sold for $162.50.
