For $81.55, someone got a good deal on these Carolina Amato black leather opera gloves offered by eBay glove seller "junkonsale."  These size 7.5 gloves are silk-lined and with the exception of missing one button, appear to be in mint condition.  The seller estimated these to be from the late 1980s - early 1990s.

The same seller also sold these Carolina Amato leather opera gloves in a rare navy blue for their starting bid of $164.99. These gloves were a size 7.5 and 23 1/2" long.


On the same evening, a glove seller in Montreal sold these very nice Damco black lambskin leather opera gloves for $89.99. These were a size 8 and measured 24" long. I really wanted to bid on these beautiful gloves, but the $24.99 shipping from Canada was too much.

It's nice to see that some long leather gloves can still fetch a decent price on eBay.

These size 7, 22.5" long black leather gloves by Carolina Amato sold for $113.50. Considering the gloves were new and still attached with string, someone probably paid a lot less than original retail.

Still, it's nice to know that I didn't overpay when I spent $99 recently for even longer Carolina Amato leather gloves in a more desirable size 8. It's also nice to know that Carolina Amato makes long leather gloves without the wrist opening, which can be an issue with the pair I recently bought.
