A deal on long black lambskin leather opera gloves

For just $48, someone got a real deal on these long black leather opera gloves from seller "junkonsale."  These unbranded gloves were a size 8 and measured nearly 24" long.  

They featured elastic gathering at the wrist, which is always a nice touch.  However, they also featured an unfortunate horizontal seam across the wrist area, like they were a shorter pair of gloves that were elongated later.  

The seller stated that they were purchased in a vintage shop in Sacramento, CA.

An even more impressive price on Ann Demeulemeester extra long lambskin leather opera gloves

Whereas a recent sale for these Ann Demeuelemeester extra long lambskin leather opera gloves sold for $299, this pair sold for an even more impressive $325.

Designer gloves seem to sell especially well during the holiday season, and this pair was no exception!

This size 8 pair was listed as NWOT and came with the original dust bags.  The stock photo is nice, but it would have been even nicer to see these modeled by the actual seller!

Carolina Amato black leather opera gloves sell for $300!

eBay glove seller "junkonsale" sold these Carolina Amato long black lambskin leather opera gloves for an impressive $299.99

These gloves are a size 8 and measure 22 3/4" long.

The attention to detail on these designer gloves is very nice and they're in great condition.  No wonder they fetched a really nice price!

G. Marino long black leather gloves

These G. Marino long black leather gloves only received three bids (starting at $95) yet sold for an impressive $127.50.  These size 8 gloves were made in Italy, new with tags, silk lined, and measured an impressive 24" long.  They also featured a three-button mosquetaire opening at the wrist.

These are some of the nicer long black leather gloves I've seen offered on eBay recently.

Third time's a charm for selling some very sexy Italian black leather thigh-high boots

After two listings with starting bids of $99 and a Buy It Now price of $195, the seller started the bidding at $35 and someone got a nice deal on these boots for $66.55 with free shipping.  The seller listed these as "Thigh High Stiletto Italian Fantasy Boot - Butter Soft Leather."

The seller stated these size 8/38 boots were an impressive 27" tall with a 4" heel and that they could be worn cuffed as well.  The boots also featured a short zipper and sexy pointed toes.  It was very nice to see these modeled as well.

If only these had been in my size...

 

The style is very similar to the Amanda Smith "Hook" OTK boots which came out several years ago.  However, the Italian boots definitely look taller and have more pointy toes and stiletto heels.

Vintage Wild Pair crotch-high boots for $250

Someone got a decent deal on these vintage Wild Pair black leather crotch-high boots in a size 8 for their Buy It Now price of $250 with free shipping.  These boots appear to be in excellent condition and measure a whopping 33.5 inches tall from top to bottom.  This style rarely appears on eBay and has been known to sell for around $500 in larger sizes.

Long black leather opera gloves still sell well

These 25.5" long black leather opera gloves received 32 bids and sold for $102.50, a good deal considering they were a large size 8 and new with tags.  Although I'd never heard of the brand before, it would appear that these were made in Italy.

They appear to be nice quality with nicely stitched slender fingers and no embellishments.

Vintage 1970s beige thigh-high boots sell for an impressive $262!

A vintage boot seller sold these vintage beige thigh-high boots from the 70s for a very impressive $261.99.  These size 8 boots would look great paired with skinny jeans or a boho style skirt.

A favorite style of vintage Saks boots makes a rare appearance

These vintage black leather boots by Saks Fifth Avenue were listed with a Buy It Now price of $50.00, but were sold for a Best Offer.  These boots were a size 8 and made in Italy.
This style has always been a favorite of mine for its classic styling: clean lines (no zippers), straight shaft, nice spiked heels and almond toes.







Unfortunately, with many vintage Italian boots from this time, there seems to be a lot of powdering and a look down inside reveals that to be the case with these boots as well.

New long black leather gloves by Neiman Marcus sell well

These 20" long black leather gloves by Neiman-Marcus sold for a deserving $107.50.  These gloves had a lot of appeal: they were New With Tags (orig. $285) and a large size 8.  The seller also stated they were made in Italy and silk-lined.  The price on these gloves hovered at $36 with just three hours left in the auction, but there was obviously a lot of last-minute bidding.  I put in a decent bid, as these were, without a doubt, some of the nicest leather gloves I've seen on eBay in awhile.

Vintage Wild Pair crotch-high boots finally sell...the third time's a charm!

After listing these vintage Wild Pair black leather crotch-high boots twice at considerably higher Buy It Now prices (previously $275), the seller lowered the BIN price to $199.99 and she sold them within 24 hours by accepting a Best Offer.  These boots were a size 8 and appeared to have a fair amount of wear.

Some very nice outdoor modeling too, which is a rarity on eBay!
